Joe Stramowski is a Brooklyn-based producer, director and writer who has filmed in over forty different countries around the world.
Over the last fifteen years he has led projects and teams for PBS, Travel, Discovery, A+E, MSNBC, Showtime, MTV and Vice. His team’s work for Vice News was awarded the 2012 Webby People's Voice Award and his 2020 short film BORROWING garnered multiple awards and nominations from film festivals across the globe.
Joe directed twenty-six episodes (2021-2024) of the twice Emmy Nominated series Legacy List w/ Matt Paxton on PBS. He is currently adapting the book The Guide to Being a Dictator's Mistress for the silver screen.
